Marjorie Pierson’s visual art explores the relationship between environment and identity.
A native of south Louisiana, she captures rapidly evolving coastal landscapes there, in her adopted state of North Carolina, and around the world. Her work is featured in museum, university, corporate and private collections. She is represented by Martine Chaisson Gallery in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Marjorie’s first book, Struck by Nature: Photographs of Bald Head Island, was published in 2012. It features more than 50 fine art photographs that capture the diversity of landscapes on one of North Carolina’s most beautiful barrier islands.
The hard cover book measures 13” x 13”. Over 500 copies have been sold to date.
